Today is the day before Jesus is crucified. He eats the last supper with his disciples (Luke 22:14-30), predicts Peter's denial (Luke 22:31-34), and goes out to pray in the Gethsemane (Luke 22:39-46). Jesus is so overwhelmed by what is about to happen that he ends up sweating blood while he is praying. Even know what what about to happen, Jesus chose to go to the cross the next day.
